Lakers: 97, Rockets: 78 Now it's on to San Antonio.

...

NOOOOOO!!

I watched the 11:30 PM episode of The Simpsons today, where Lisa Simpson breaks Ralph Wiggum's heart after Lisa gave him a Valentine's Day card and Ralph fell for her. Funny episode...overlooking the "Let's just be friends" part and the girl breaking your heart 'cause she's not interested in you. I wonder how Yen is doing, haha.

On the opposite end of the romance spectrum, today my senior film theory class watched a film by well-known director Wong Kar Wai, called Happy Together. What did I think of the film? It doesn't exactly kill the stereotype that most Asians are homosexuals...since the story's about two gay Chinese men who break up after taking a trip to Argentina. Woopty-doo.

"The dream of every leader, whether a tyrannical despot or a benign prophet, is to regulate the behavior of his people." - Colin Blakemore (Mechanics of the Mind)

"Napoleon said he was in favor of delaying the printing of news until it didn't make any difference, which means delaying it forever." - Ben H. Bagdikian (The Media Monolopoly)

Just some things I'm reading about for my Alternative Media class...which I'm getting a 'C' in right now.

"Life is what you do while waiting to die." - Donald Trump

Mr. Trump gave this uplifting (err, not really) quote while promoting his book on the Best Damn Sports Show Period on Fox Sports Net about two weeks ago. This quote is also at the top of my Index page.

Lakers: 98, Rockets: 84 That's MORE like it. None of that San Antonio Spurs/Eastern Conference team low-scoring crap.

George Lucas is more clever than I thought. For those of you who even care about Episode III coming out next year but don't understand why there's yet another new villain in the final prequel (when Count Dooku from Episode II is still alive and Anakin finally becomes Vader), I found this neat little theory at The Force.Net:

"Many people could not understand the reasons for having a new bad guy, when Dooku was available to be developed as a character. But when you think about it, having Grievous is a logical progression. First bad guy was Darth Maul. Shadowy, silent and deadly. Intense use of the Dark Side. Devoted to his master and to his missions. Second one was a fallen Jedi Master, Count Dooku. Knows the Jedi inside and out. A manipulative and devious character. He can twist and turn people and situations to his advantage. Third one is General Grievous. A cyborg with no pity or remorse. His only purpose is to bring death and destruction to the Republic and the Jedi. If Darth Sidious can combine all these traits into one person, that would be the ultimate apprentice. That apprentice's name would be DARTH VADER."

Pretty cool! Here's a neat fan-made drawing that I also checked out at TheForce.Net:

KILL BILL VOL. 2... I saw the film last friday, and I liked it in that it was more story-oriented than Vol. 1. And Pai Mei was hilarious! And dope, 'cause he kicks ass. In case you haven't seen the movie yet, don't expect an action-packed gorefest at the end, since (I said before) it's all story.

Wow, I'm flattered. Jasmine Mai is currently using a pic that is on my autographs section for the main photo on her Yahoo! club. In case she changes the photo by the time you click on the link above, I have a screencapture of her page:

Jasmine Mai's Yahoo club

Now if only Jasmine would respond to my messages on her club like she used to in the days following L.A. Hot Import Nights... 1 1/2 months ago...

Lakers: 72, Rockets: 71 Much like what I'm getting in my Alternative Media class right now, the Lakers deserved a 'C' for their effort in Game 1. Okay, I'm being too nice. A 'D'. Granted, I knew that Houston was going to be a tough matchup, but that was just plain abysmal.

The Apprentice: I knew Bill was going to win. Kwame got screwed over by Omarosa. Biatch.

Godzilla vs. Mothra: The Battle For... I didn't type the whole title since I don't know what the whole title is--since it couldn't fit the TV screen when I was watching the movie at one of my friends' house. Anyways, Godzilla vs. Mothra was one of 3 cheesy-ass movies that I watched on cable TV today after my friend and I got back from the Laker training facility in El Segundo (near Los Angeles International Airport)...where I got autographs by Slava Medvedenko and Brian Cook. But NO Shaq or Kobe. Or Payton or Malone for that matter. Could've gotten an autograph by Devean George if he didn't drive off once I walked up to his car window (all the players were already in their cars and there was a pretty large crowd of fans who showed up). Where was I?

Oh yea, I watched Drumline, a movie about freakin' college bands; Kangaroo Jack, a live-action movie about a Kangaroo who wears a red shirt during most of the movie (and talks in one sequence, although that part fortunately passed when I began watching the movie); and of course, Godzilla vs. Mothra: The Battle For Pornography (not the real title, but I didn't feel like typing "..."). These movies, however, were so damn cheesy they were entertaining (and my friend and I watched American Ninja 3 at one point). To sound like a snotty film critic, I was engrossed in their banality...although I'll shoot myself if I ever get the urge to type a screenplay that's inspired by these movies. *Shutters...*

UPDATE: I watched The Apprentice on NBC for the first time today...and needless to say, I was missing out! Great show-- But you know Kwame's team is gonna lose! The Spider-Man 2 trailer wasn't so bad either.

UPDATE #2: The full title is Godzilla vs. Mothra: The Battle for Earth. Too plain... I like The Battle for Pornography better.

Godzilla!

I F*CKIN' HATE POP-UP ADS. Whoever invented these should be dragged out into the street and shot. And then have their bodies sent to Fallouja, Iraq, where the mob will know what to do with them. Just messing!! No, not really. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you gotta watch the news more. Anyways...

I F*CKIN' HATE WAL-MART. Even though that's where I bought all three of my photo albums. I hate all corporations in general! I'm just in a hatin' mood right now. Anyways...

Was 9/11 preventable? DOES IT F*CKIN' MATTER? IT HAPPENED. Anyways, MSN.com has an article about Richard Clarke, George Dubya's former chief counterterrorism adviser, saying the terrorist attacks could've been prevented. Could've, should've, would've...whatever. Too late buddy-boy, it's in the past.

"Blackout was preventable, probe finds..." WELL WOOPTY-FRIGGIN' DOO, THAT HAPPENED AS WELL. The stupid articles keep coming, which is why I keep posting them up on my page. Click here to read an article about how the 2003 power outage in the northeastern U.S. could've been avoided...but weren't, so now you'd have to read about the pointless ramblings of what could've, should've, would've been prevented.

Mars rover finishes primary mission. Click here to read up on news that doesn't piss me off. Anyways, good job Spirit! That's what I would say if it was human.

Yesterday, I went to the SEMA International Auto Salon at the L.A. Convention Center, where I took a picture with cute import model Alexia Lei. I actually went to the show to meet Cora Linn, but she wasn't there when I arrived. I could've stayed longer, but I also went to the city of Van Nuys to attend a Laker signing (they lost to San Antonio today, BAH!)...where I got autographs by Luke Walton and Kareem Rush. By the way, here're are two funny/clever quotes from the 8:30 P.M. episode of The Simpsons today.

"I didn't lie, I was writing fiction with my mouth!" - Homer Simpson to Marge after she found out he didn't read her romance novel

"This is how you talk when you learn English from porno movies..." - Apu, while being sly to Homer after the convenience clerk mentions Marge's novel to him (and hints to Homer that Marge's portrayal of him in the book ain't all that flattering)

One more thing, if you're eagerly awaiting the DVD arrival of the original Star Wars trilogy--which comes out on September 21st--here's how the box covers for the full screen (gold cover) and wide screen (silver) versions will look like. Can't wait!

WOOHOO! I'M ON SPRING BREAK!! And the Lakers are once again King of the West!!! That is all.
