So how 'bout them, Lakers? With Kobe Bryant (and Rick Fox) back from injuries, the Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz, 93-86, at Salt Lake City yesterday. Kobe had 21 points while Slava Medvedenko led the team with 26 points. Gary Payton had 18 with a 3-pointer that sealed the game late in the fourth quarter. I have no idea what the heck happened to Shaq... He said he hurt his ankle but I wouldn't be surprised if he was sitting out because of a freakin' papercut. Anyways, I just gave you a sports update to ease you into the fact that it's geektime again: Congratulations to the Mars Rover Team for the successful landing of the second rover, Opportunity. Hahaha!

UPDATE: By the way, I've updated Gallery 2 with two new pics. It's of me posing with beautiful models Diane Le and Cherie Roberts. Next up on the import gals I want to meet next: Jasmine Mai and Cora Linn.

CHUC MUNG NAM MOI and GUNG HAY FAT CHOY! In other words, Happy Vietnamese and Chinese New Year!! Even though I don't know the exact date for this holiday, haha. Anyways, I sent an e-mail to Yen (or should I say, Denise? Man, that was sooo 3 1/2 years ago, haha) through Friendster with those greetings. And I thought 2004 was gonna be the first year since 1999 that I wouldn't talk to her in one way or the other. I always find a way...even though this time it was unintentional. I would like to thank import model Jasmine Mai, and one of my sister's friends, Elle, for posting the Chinese and Vietnamese translations for Happy New Year online. Yen is Vietnamese, and I've broken my promise numerous times that I wouldn't bother her anymore since she's already spoken for, so read between the lines about why I sent her that e-mail. I LOVE YA!! WHOOOO!! Yea, that was sad...especially considering I haven't seen her pretty face since March of 2002. In the words of a Hippy character from The Simpsons: "Looks like someone here is living in the past. Contemporize, man!!" Gong Shi Fa Tsai!!!!! That's Happy New Year in Mandarin. UPDATE: I'm so freakin' tempted towards trying to add Yen as a buddy on my Friendster page. But I'm afraid she'll deny the request... that, and of all things I don't want us to be just friends, but like I could do anything about it. Sure, there are other girls on my Friendster's buddy list who I'm also fond of-- but unlike Yen, I wasn't affected by them to the point where I wrote 4 feature length movie scripts (3 are 120 pages long, another is about 90 pages) and 2 student films about them. The latest film, Envious, will hopefully be done when I shoot again on January 31st and February 1st. This is assuming the weather cooperates, I get enough money to pay for the equipment rentals and certain peepz on my crew don't step out of line on set. It wasn't just the rain that got to me that day!! UPDATE #2: Just wanted to point out that you can now access Parman's Page through 3 different web addresses, not that there's any real reason why it should be accessed through 3 different web addresses. They are: http://parman.cjb.net, http://parno.cjb.net and last, and most certainly least... http://www.rich-parno.com. Just kidding about the "most certainly least" part. UPDATE #3: In case you notice the pattern if you have A LOT of free time to go through my journal and its archives, the only way I'll write a lot in my blogspot is if it has anything to do with Yenny-pooh. She'll probably get pissed for me calling her that, but oh well.

Overlooking the fact I'm 6 days late, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Being a big space aficionado and all, congratulations to the Mars Rover Team! GEEK! GEEK! Hahaha! By the way, here's an intriguing question: If Britney Spears wasn't already a famous "music artist" and she was auditioning for American Idol, what would Simon, Paula and Randy say after hearing her sing? Ahhh...the mysteries of life.
