Godzilla vs. Mothra: The Battle For... I didn't type the whole title since I don't know what the whole title is--since it couldn't fit the TV screen when I was watching the movie at one of my friends' house. Anyways, Godzilla vs. Mothra was one of 3 cheesy-ass movies that I watched on cable TV today after my friend and I got back from the Laker training facility in El Segundo (near Los Angeles International Airport)...where I got autographs by Slava Medvedenko and Brian Cook. But NO Shaq or Kobe. Or Payton or Malone for that matter. Could've gotten an autograph by Devean George if he didn't drive off once I walked up to his car window (all the players were already in their cars and there was a pretty large crowd of fans who showed up). Where was I?

Oh yea, I watched Drumline, a movie about freakin' college bands; Kangaroo Jack, a live-action movie about a Kangaroo who wears a red shirt during most of the movie (and talks in one sequence, although that part fortunately passed when I began watching the movie); and of course, Godzilla vs. Mothra: The Battle For Pornography (not the real title, but I didn't feel like typing "..."). These movies, however, were so damn cheesy they were entertaining (and my friend and I watched American Ninja 3 at one point). To sound like a snotty film critic, I was engrossed in their banality...although I'll shoot myself if I ever get the urge to type a screenplay that's inspired by these movies. *Shutters...*

UPDATE: I watched The Apprentice on NBC for the first time today...and needless to say, I was missing out! Great show-- But you know Kwame's team is gonna lose! The Spider-Man 2 trailer wasn't so bad either.

UPDATE #2: The full title is Godzilla vs. Mothra: The Battle for Earth. Too plain... I like The Battle for Pornography better.

Godzilla!

I F*CKIN' HATE POP-UP ADS. Whoever invented these should be dragged out into the street and shot. And then have their bodies sent to Fallouja, Iraq, where the mob will know what to do with them. Just messing!! No, not really. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you gotta watch the news more. Anyways...

I F*CKIN' HATE WAL-MART. Even though that's where I bought all three of my photo albums. I hate all corporations in general! I'm just in a hatin' mood right now. Anyways...

Was 9/11 preventable? DOES IT F*CKIN' MATTER? IT HAPPENED. Anyways, MSN.com has an article about Richard Clarke, George Dubya's former chief counterterrorism adviser, saying the terrorist attacks could've been prevented. Could've, should've, would've...whatever. Too late buddy-boy, it's in the past.

"Blackout was preventable, probe finds..." WELL WOOPTY-FRIGGIN' DOO, THAT HAPPENED AS WELL. The stupid articles keep coming, which is why I keep posting them up on my page. Click here to read an article about how the 2003 power outage in the northeastern U.S. could've been avoided...but weren't, so now you'd have to read about the pointless ramblings of what could've, should've, would've been prevented.

Mars rover finishes primary mission. Click here to read up on news that doesn't piss me off. Anyways, good job Spirit! That's what I would say if it was human.

Yesterday, I went to the SEMA International Auto Salon at the L.A. Convention Center, where I took a picture with cute import model Alexia Lei. I actually went to the show to meet Cora Linn, but she wasn't there when I arrived. I could've stayed longer, but I also went to the city of Van Nuys to attend a Laker signing (they lost to San Antonio today, BAH!)...where I got autographs by Luke Walton and Kareem Rush. By the way, here're are two funny/clever quotes from the 8:30 P.M. episode of The Simpsons today.

"I didn't lie, I was writing fiction with my mouth!" - Homer Simpson to Marge after she found out he didn't read her romance novel

"This is how you talk when you learn English from porno movies..." - Apu, while being sly to Homer after the convenience clerk mentions Marge's novel to him (and hints to Homer that Marge's portrayal of him in the book ain't all that flattering)

One more thing, if you're eagerly awaiting the DVD arrival of the original Star Wars trilogy--which comes out on September 21st--here's how the box covers for the full screen (gold cover) and wide screen (silver) versions will look like. Can't wait!

The new Batmobile... From next year's Batman Begins:

The new Batmobile

I'm studying right now for my Senior Film Theory midterm (well...not RIGHT NOW right now, obviously), which will be this Tuesday, and you don't realize how many freakin' theories there are about movies. Psychoanalytic film theories, structuralist/poststructuralist film theories, deconstructivism, feminist film theories, semiology, queer theories (guess what THAT one is about) and Oedipus trajectories... All this correlates to describing the story and structure of a film and how audiences react to them. The feminist film theory, personally, PISSES ME OFF the most...since there are SO MANY pages to read about it in my textbooks (That, and the texts about Third Cinema and Third World Cinema. Yes, there's a difference between the two)!! But I like the pyschoanalytic film theory and the Oedipus trajectory... because those concepts objectify women and make them subservient to men. Just kidding... about my sexist remark. But IT'S TRUE, about what I said about those concepts! Hey, blame that on Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan! More on them and their explanation to why most women have bisexual tendencies later. Don't believe me, ladies? Read up on the profiles of most import models online!

UPDATE: Did any of you see the 8:00 PM episode of The Simpsons today? It spoofed The Phantom Menace with a movie called Cosmic Wars: The Gathering Storm. Despite the fact The Simpsons is like, 5 YEARS LATE in having this major parody...this episode gave a hilarious indictment on the prequels and George Lucas carrying more about digital technology than storyline. Pretty funny. So anyways... General Grievous is gonna rule in Episode III! He's gonna be the NEXT DARTH MAUL! (Thinks about what happened to Maul at the end of Episode I...) No wait...

Don't you guys like it how I always contradict myself over the prequels? One minute I'm calling Lucas a biatch for the failure of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, the next minute I'm posting up several photos of that General Grievous fella on this page! Make up your mind, Parman! Anyways, it's almost 10:00 at night, and I have to get back to studying!!! But before I do... Here's an old pic of Britney Spears. She can't sing for squat, but I'd still do her.

Bang me baby, one more time

I just got back from a Toyota dealership in Hollywood, where I met Laker back-up point guard Derek Fisher and got his autograph...for the 3rd time. The first time I went to a Fisher signing was in April of '99 (at the Niketown store in Beverly Hills) and the second one was in April of last year, at another Toyota dealership in Santa Monica. If only Shaq and Kobe conducted as many autograph signings...if they conducted autograph signings at all. Oh well. So far the Laker players I've met is Fisher, Rick Fox, Devean George, Tyronn Lue, Greg Foster, A.C. Green and Orlando Woolridge. I also have autographs by Laker commentators Stu Lantz and Chick Hearn (R.I.P.), and longtime Laker game announcer Lawrence Tanter. No wait... I don't have Tanter's autograph... I just took a photo of him when he also made an appearance in Hollywood today. I also took pictures of some Hooter Girls and Laker Girls who showed up with Fisher and Tanter at this afternoon's signing.

UPDATE: To mark the one year anniversary of "Gulf War II" (to quote the cover of Time magazine the week after the war broke out last year), there was a huge protest rally a couple of blocks down from where the Toyota dealership was at. Just letting you know.

UPDATE #2: Never saw the movie Honey, but Jessica Alba is BANGIN'!!

UPDATE #3: I'm watching a Halloween special of The Simpsons right now...where one of the three mini-episodes is about the dolphins who take over Springfield. Hi-larious!... Didn't know dolphins can impale people with their beaks (Groundskeeper Willy)... Bitchslap people with their flippers (Apu)... And beat someone to death with a beach ball (Kent Brockman). And TALK! Sorry, I wouldn't be talking about this if I wasn't on the computer while watching TV, haha!

I just logged onto Friendster.com and Yen's profile is no longer accessible since I'm not in her personal network of friends. I'd have to add her as a buddy in order to check out any new info that she added...but since I'm not gonna try to add her (I probably know what her response is gonna be if she got my request), I guess that means I can no longer see what's up with her as I speak-- nor can I send her personal messages through Friendster since I need to be in her personal network to do that. I wonder why she changed the settings to her page? Hmm... Not to sound paranoid or anthing, but could it be because of Yours Truly? She was probably offended that I didn't respond to her e-mail after I wished her Happy Chinese New Year two months ago (check my January 23, 2004 journal entry to read up on that). And while we're on the topic of The Girl Formerly Nicknamed Denise, and who was the inspiration behind the character 'Jeanine' in my Hard-Cores film scripts and Envious, many of you are wondering how I could be so caught up with this gal...since the only thing that happened between us was a measly hug (which I initiated) and several e-mails. Well, I guess you can say that the answer LIES IN THE MOVIES. If Ben Stiller's character can still be in love with Cameron Diaz's Mary after not seeing her for 13 years in There's Something About Mary, and Anakin Skywalker could be in love with Padme when he hasn't seen her for 8 years in Attack of the Clones (YOU GEEK!), then why not me and Yenny? In the words of Stiller in There's Something About Mary: "Crushes don't last for 13 years, do they?" One more thing about Yenny... If there's one reason why I should miss working at Disneyland (yea I worked there, got a problem with that???), it's because of its location. I don't miss helping out the visitors/tourists (or 'Guests' in Disney-jargon)...they're a bunch of rat bastards who asked the stupidest questions to Cast Members. What I do miss was working with the other Cast Members, in which most of them were pretty cool, and the fact that the Happiest Place On Earth lies in Orange County. I like Orange County... They didn't make a TV show on Fox about the place for nothing!! So anyways, why do I like the O.C.? It's because of all the girls I knew who either lived or worked there. Liz Fujimaki, my actress from The Broken Table, lives in the O.C., but I'm not gonna tell you where, Desiree—this girl I used to like in high school—works (or used to work) at Brea Mall...although I don't know if Brea is part of Orange County (update: it is)...and Yenny lives only a couple of miles away from Disneyland!! How do I know? Cuz she listed down the city in her now inaccessible Friendster page, that's why...and that city is pretty damn close to Disneyland. Nancy, a girl I met during my job training at Disneyland last June, and who's Vietnamese like Yen, lives in the same city as Yen (Nancy now goes to UC Riverside)! Although it was hot like a biatch while I was working up there last summer, the one thing I liked about hangin' out on the 6th (and uppermost) level of the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure at Disneyland was its awesome view of Orange County. On a clear day you could see Knotts Berry Farm in the distance. But it's mostly because of the chicks I knew personally that makes me fond of the O.C. (Yes, I AM insane.) Liz, I wanted you to be in my film Envious!! But Sheena did a nice job. Wendy, the actress who bailed on me after the first day of shoot, can rot in hell [SHE didn't live in the O.C...but I still wouldn't mind (insert sexually explicit verb here) her, heheheh]. Desiree, why did you have to get married?!!! Eh, oh well. Yenny, why won't you let non-close friends check out your Friendster page?!!! Bah. And Jasmine? I do believe Ms. Mai mentioned somewhere that she lives in Anaheim. But I won't do anything crazzzay. Unless she wants me to. ()() UPDATE: Elle, one of my actresses in Envious, called me up last night telling me that she got the DVD copy of the film that I mailed to her last Friday. Elle said that she really liked the movie, and that she showed it to her Advanced Production class at Cal State Fullerton, and that her classmates really enjoyed it. She said they laughed during the whole movie. And she also said she liked the dolly shots and that Arturo, my camera operator, did a good job on--you guessed it--operating the camera. Thanks Elle, I really appreciate the compliment. Makes me want to forget the bitterness of not getting into the Spring Filmmakers Showcase, which will be on May 29 at school. I ain't attending.

WELL that certainly sucks... The rest of my website is currently inaccessible because I've exceeded the monthly transfer limit. Come again? If Blogger had that same limit, I wouldn't be able to access this journal page each week-- let alone each day. Thanks a lot, Crosswinds. (5 HOURS LATER...11:28 PM) Okay, it works again. By the way, I'm well aware that the HIN pic of me and Ms. Mai is no longer at the top of this page. It's slowly moving towards the bottom of my journal...where it will soon be destined to find its final resting spot somewhere in my archives (actually, click here to find it, and there're more pics here and here). I know, I know... I'm trippin'. But I always come up with something weird to write about late at night.

Verizon DSL SUCKS ASS!!! Anyways, more on HOT IMPORT NIGHTS... This is pretty much why I said in my March 7 entry that I'd talk more about Jasmine Mai a few days after the show. It's because I just picked up the photos last Wednesday, heheh! Anyways, I won't say anything else except to post up the pictures that show why that night was dope...

UPDATE: Jasmine found this journal page!!! Since she posted the address for this webpage in her Yahoo group for all her hundreds of other members to see (August 2006 update: Jasmine's old Yahoo club no longer exists)... I just wanna say what's up to y'all and hope you're having a bangin' day. By the way, you need a Yahoo account to access her message. That, and a membership in her club. Later, Jasbaby!

Me and Jasmine Mai

Lakers: 113, Magic: 110 (OT)... Did you guys see tonight's game against Orlando??? That's precisely why Kobe needs to be traded!! JUST MESSING!! 38 points in the game, and most of that (24 pts.) during the 4th Quarter?... #8 RULES! So does TMac (37 pts.), but he's not on the Lakers, is he?
