Photo of the Day: Just Another Day at Work for a Fighter Pilot...

Just thought I'd share this cool video screenshot that I found online of an F/A-18 fighter pilot, Captain Christopher Prout, firing an AIM-7 Sparrow missile at an airborne target off-screen. This pic was posted on The Aviationist...and supposedly went viral online on other sites after the U.S. Marine Corps originally released this image on the Web. The video from which this came was taken on May 16, 2013—so one can't remark that this pilot was attacking an Islamic State target in Iraq or something. Also, the Sparrow is an air-to-air missile, not a bomb, so that's another reason why viewers can't say that this occurred during the latest crisis in the Middle East.
