Yesterday, the Lakers got their championship rings, and the Utah Jazz defeated them, 97-92, in the game that followed that nice little ceremony at STAPLES Center. I'm not really disappointed that the Lakers lost...considering the fact that Shaq, Kobe and gang were most likely distracted by the new bling bling that they're now wearing.

Plus, Karl Malone and John Stockton must have been really motivated to play after realizing that the team they swept in the playoffs just two years back won a trophy and they didn't. Don't worry Mailman, you'll get your ring once Shaq retires.


UPDATE (August 2006): Hope you're having fun during retirement, Mailman. Still no ring... Oh well.
