Photo of the Day: My Autograph by Megan Fox...

My Megan Fox autograph...which came in the mail on January 12, 2022.

So earlier today, I received the 11" x 14" autograph of Megan Fox that I bought online right before Christmas last year. This awesome collectible came courtesy of OC Celebrity Marketing LLC...from which I've bought autographs by other notable actresses like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Denise Richards, Lacey Chabert and Anne Hathaway (who should do her signing within the next two months). These memorabilia can be viewed in my website's Autographs section.

I could've met Megan Fox back on March 23, 2018...when she made an appearance at The Americana outlet in Glendale, California. Unfortunately, I was on a flight heading back to Los Angeles from my trip to Florida (when I took an 11-day cruise to Central America) during the exact time that Megan's photo op was taking place inside a Forever 21 store that night.

I read online reports (Google them) that Megan supposedly left after the first 30 minutes of the event, so depending on where I was in line, I would've missed her anyway! (Yes— Keep tellin' yourself that, Parman...)

This autograph would've been even more exciting had I received it back in 2007—when Michael Bay's first Transformers movie (my favorite film of that year) was released in theaters. It's all good.

Photos of the Day #3: An Autograph Signing in the City of Industry...

At Sports Authentics USA inside Puente Hills Mall to attend an autograph signing by Vida Guerra...on January 21, 2017.

Just thought I'd end this month by posting these pics that were taken when I met the very lovely actress and model Vida Guerra at my local mall yesterday. The meet-and-greet took place at Puente Hills Mall in the City of Industry...inside the new Sports Authentics USA store. This is the third autograph signing to take place at this new retail outlet since it opened late last year—the first one being by 11-time NBA champion Bill Russell (who played for the Boston Celtics) and the second one by 7-time NBA champ Robert Horry (who won three rings with the Los Angeles Lakers, and two each with the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs, respectively). It's so cool to attend an autograph signing so close to home; it would be absolutely awesome if Kobe Bryant one day does an autograph signing at Puente Hills Mall [or at the Frank & Son Collectible Show (where Shaquille O'Neal did a photo op almost four years ago) a few miles away, also in the City of Industry]! It would've been better if he was still a player with the Lakers if he did so, but it's all good.

Back on topic, it was awesome to meet Vida Guerra! You can see her in the upcoming movie adaptation of the classic TV show CHIPS...starring Michael Peña and Dax Shepard. In fact, CHIPS hits theaters next month, on March 24. Lookin' forward to seeing you on the big screen, Vida! Happy Monday.

The Los Angeles Kings' Ice Crew poses with the Stanley Cup aboard the USS Iowa in San Pedro, on January 16, 2013.

Photos of the Day... A couple of days before the Los Angeles Kings are to raise their championship banner up at STAPLES Center and begin their lockout-shortened NHL season, the Stanley Cup finally made its way aboard the USS Iowa in San Pedro yesterday. Having been displayed with space shuttle Endeavour at the California Science Center's Samuel Oschin Pavilion last November, the only other new museum piece that arrived in Los Angeles last year that hasn't yet been visited by the Cup is Levitated Mass at the L.A. County Museum of Art (LACMA). Not as cool as a retired, $2 billion-dollar spacecraft or a decommissioned battleship, but LACMA's boulder would also be an interesting exhibit to place the trophy next to [or underneath—just so the Kings Ice Crew (above) can get some shade from the Sun...before an earthquake strikes, that is]. Carry on.

Taylor Swift strikes a pose at the 40th Anniversary American Music Awards, on November 18, 2012.
Steve Granitz / WireImage

Images of the Day, Pt. 2... Just thought I'd post this pic of singer Taylor Swift from tonight's 40th Anniversary American Music Awards, as well as the cool illustration below that I recently stumbled upon at my local mall. What I want to know is, who is the lovely (real-life) model that the warrior in this poster is based on? Hey— It's been a while since I blogged about gorgeous ladies (usually nonfictional) on this page...

Katy Perry and her blue-haired alter-ego in KATY PERRY: PART OF ME.

Katy Perry: Part of Me... I'd watch this flick, for free that is. Normally, I'd share a great disdain for self-indulgent films and documentaries that feature flavor-of-the-month music artists (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, Britney Spear's Crossroads, Mariah Cary's Glitter, Glee: The 3D Concert Movie and 50 Cents' Get Rich Or Die Tryin'), but I'd give Katy Perry's new movie a shot. Of course, it's probably because I'm thinking with my you-know-what (the word starts with a 'p' and rhymes with 'Venus') and not because I have classy taste in movies. How can I not watch a film that centers on a girl whose 2008 hit song ("I Kissed a Girl") was inspired by her 'lesbian crush' on Megan Fox and Scarlett Johansson (in case you didn't already know this)? And "Teenage Dream" isn't so bad, either.

If there's one film about the life of a music artist that I enjoyed, it's 2002's 8 Mile, starring Eminem. Not only are his songs (both old and recent) a lot better than some of the new crap spewed by other rappers these days, but Eminem can act too. Heck— Music-wise, Slim Shady's 8 Mile anthem "Lose Yourself" won an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2003, for cryin' out loud. You da man, Slim. But this journal entry isn't about you. It's about the sexy brunette / blonde / red head / purple or blue-haired chick from Santa Barbara who likes posing provocatively on pink cotton candy.

Katy Perry: Part of Me gets released in theaters today, for those of you planning to movie-hop after watching Ted, Oliver Stone's Savages or The Amazing Spider-Man this weekend. That is all.

(I'm well aware of the disparity between this Blog topic and the NASA-related entry I posted on Tuesday, thankyouverymuch.)

Thank you Katy Perry, for giving me another reason to love cotton candy.

A socialite (Odette Annable) is peeved that Sam Witwicky hit her car in 2007's TRANSFORMERS.

Transformers update... Okay, this isn't really an update, assuming that you've already heard that Michael Bay is back to direct a fourth Transformers flick...and that it will feature a new cast but will continue the storyline established by the first three movies. Anyways, I just found out on the Web yesterday that the cute brunette who gets her face um, hugged by the Steering Wheel Bot in the first Transformers film is none other than Odette Yustman—err, Annable. You'll remember her from Cloverfield and maybe the horror flick The Unborn, and her stint in this year's final season of the hit FOX TV show House. If you've visited my Blog long enough, you'll also know that I devoted a journal entry to her a few years back, haha.

I'll resist the urge to point out that Mrs. Annable should've been in Transformers: Dark of the Moon [FYI, Michael Bay cast actor Glenn Morshower (who played a Secret Service agent on the other hit-but-defunct FOX TV show, 24) in Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon, despite the fact Morshower already played a character who died at the beginning of the first movie] instead of the hot Victoria's Secret model who was out of Shia LaBeouf's league. Then again... Carly in the original Transformers cartoons is blonde, so unless Mrs. Annable dyed her hair that color, she obviously wouldn't have fit that role. That, and Megan Fox probably would've been peeved that another brunette was moving in on her dorky on-set squeeze. Hey, at least Bay found a way to get another sexy Hollywood girl in his movies. That's probably one of the main reasons why I'm glad that he's directing Transformers 4. (Okay, maybe not.) And that's why it just occurred to me that Annable can always be cast in this next film, which is scheduled to be released in theaters in 2014. Duh.

The socialite gets her comeuppance when Steering Wheel Bot attacks her in TRANSFORMERS.

Just read online that Megan Fox is pregnant with her first child. You da man, Shia! And you probably thought that nothing good was gonna come out of working on the Transformers films... I kid. Props to Megan and Brian Austin Green for being on the verge of starting their own family (though B.A.G. already has a son from his previous marriage with Vanessa Marcil). As painful and cheesy as it was to type that. Carry on.

Call me pathetic, call me what you will... Or however that Green Day song goes. Anyways, just thought I'd share this magazine cover featuring the lovely Eva Longoria that I saw at a newsstand inside a super market on New Year's Eve last year. Just to put things in context, it was also at that super market where on the same (holi)day I skimmed that cool National Geographic issue that featured blue holes, the Cave of Crystals and Russia's Lake Baikal. Who would've thought grocery stores could be so educational (and alluring)?

And no, my closest friends aren't very fond of celebrating on New Year's Eve. Don't know why. As an FYI, I wasn't at the supermarket at 11 PM. That is all.

Blonde vs. Brunette: Who will win in a fight?

"Is this some sorta underwear party?" It’s been a while since I blogged about hot chicks on this page (possibly because those entries would clash with all of my recent posts about Mars rovers, Star Wars, exoplanets and whatnot), but just thought I’d talk about the Carl’s Jr. "Made From Scratch Biscuits" commercial currently being aired on TV. To put it succinctly, those two girls are hot. Though I’m pretty sure the blonde gal (the lovely Caite Upton...who was Miss South Carolina Teen USA in 2007) was probably annoyed that the brunette got a close-up in the ad and she didn’t. Sorry Ms. Upton— You'll always have your memorable quote about why some Americans can't locate the U.S. on a world map. Of course, this speech might be the reason why she wasn't featured prominently in front of the camera for this commercial in the first place. Oh well.

'Extra' TV correspondent Maria Menounos makes an appearance at The Grove in Los Angeles.

A SUNNY DAY IN SOCAL... Just thought I’d post these random pics that I took at The Grove in Los Angeles earlier today. Maria Menounos, a correspondent for Extra, was filming a segment for the entertainment news TV show there. Actress Mindy Kaling, who plays Kelly Kapoor on NBC’s The Office, was also gonna be at The Grove. She was making an appearance at the local Barnes & Noble bookstore. I would’ve stayed to at least take photos of her, but Kaling wasn’t scheduled to show up till 7 PM—and I was at The Grove around 2:30 PM. Maybe if it was Jenna Fischer or Ellie Kemper (who plays the lovely receptionist Erin Hannon on The Office) doing a book signing, then I’d wait. Not that I have anything against Indian girls... Freida Pinto of Slumdog Millionaire and the gal who plays Priya on CBS' The Big Bang Theory are hawt. End of semi-juvenile entry.

SO LAST WEEK, I discovered online that Minka Kelly broke up with the New York Yankees’ Derek Jeter. Niiice. I haven’t read Web news as awesome as this and totally irrelevant to me (unless I win the Mega Millions jackpot and move to um...whichever state Ms. Kelly lives in. I'll leave it at that before this entry starts to bite me in the arse) since I heard that Megan Fox was briefly single around two years ago. Of course, gals like Ms. Kelly don’t stay single for long. As long as she doesn’t go back to John Mayer or Captain America, a.k.a. The First Avenger (RE: Chris Evans), it’s all good.

CHARLIE’S ANGELS... There are two words on why I’d probably check out an episode or two of ABC’s updated version of the classic TV show: Minka Kelly. By the way, Charlie’s Angels will also star two Transformers castmembers: Rachael Taylor (the computer analyst from the first film) and Ramón Rodríguez (Shia LaBeouf’s goofy roommate in Revenge of the Fallen). Who says that Michael Bay doesn’t make stars out of his actors?

SpoCom 2011... Last night, I attended the annual car show at the Anaheim Convention Center. Unlike the two previous years, SpoCom obviously wasn’t held in Long Beach...which is too bad, considering the fact that the Long Beach Convention Center is a much bigger venue than its Orange County counterpart and is also at a better location (overlooking the Pacific Ocean, as opposed to being across the street from Disneyland...not that I have anything against the Happiest Place on Earth). Also, there were a lot more models at the SpoCom events of 2009 and ’10—though if you click on the red link below (and obviously check out the two pics posted with this entry), I managed to get pictures with some gorgeous ladies yesterday.

LINK: Photos I took at the 2011 Anaheim SpoCom event

Another reason why the Anaheim SpoCom didn’t seem as exciting to me as the past SpoComs I attended was probably due to the timing of the event. The 2009 SpoCom took place on the same day that Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol helped the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Orlando Magic to win the NBA Finals that year...while the 2010 SpoCom took place about a month after the Lakers beat the Boston Celtics to clinch the 2010 NBA Championship. So leave it to the Lake Show to be part of the reason why SpoCom (up until this year...thanks a lot, Anaheim, the Dallas Mavericks and the NBA lockout) is one of my favorite import shows that I’ve been to. I’ve been going to these things since 1999...when the first car event I attended—the Import Showoff—was, ironically, held at the Anaheim Convention Center. Carry on.

Katy Perry, in an issue of ROLLING STONE magazine.

RANDOM BABE BLOG #16... Just thought I’d take a quick break from writing about space and Transformers-related news and post a Blog that’s been 3 years overdue. Today’s entry goes to pop sensation Katy Perry...who—if you’ve been living under a rock this whole time (*cue in that GEICO TV commercial*)—became famous with her song "I Kissed a Girl" back in 2008. Rumor has it that this song was inspired by former-Transformers hottie Megan Fox. If true, then it’s unfortunate that to this day we haven’t yet seen these two gorgeous ladies make I Kissed a Girl a reality in a music video or elsewhere. Oh well. As for which Perry song I actually like (and actually heard, along with I Kissed a Girl), "Teenage Dream" is pretty good. Haven’t seen the video for this tune yet, but I’m pretty sure Fox isn’t in it, either. Darn. Anyways, carry on.

The Dark Knight.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, Part 1... I just read online that Anne Hathaway has officially been cast as Catwoman in next year’s Batman flick. Niiiice. Considering that Christopher Nolan was able to turn The Joker into an Oscar-winning role for the late Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, I have absolutely no doubt that Nolan has great things in store for Selina Kyle and her feline alter-ego in The Dark Knight Rises. Of course, I’m still hoping that the Black Mask will appear in Nolan’s third Bat flick. That is all.

Anne Hathaway will play Catwoman in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

Natalie Portman.

JUST READ ONLINE today that Natalie Portman is pregnant. Well good for her. Now where's a Polis Massan droid doctor when you need one? (Yes... That was a Star Wars reference.)

TRON: LEGACY.

Happy Thanksgiving Day, everyone!!! Just thought I’d share these images and posters from Disney’s Tron: Legacy...which comes out in theaters next month. This movie has absolutely nothing to do with Turkey Day, but it does have something to do with how gorgeous Olivia Wilde is (I don’t know the meaning of the word 'obsession', haha), and how friggin’ awesome the visual FX will be in this sequel to the classic 1982 film...which, as an FYI, was one of the first flicks to utilize computer-generated imagery. I'm sure you wanted to know that.

TRON: LEGACY.

So anyways; enjoy your turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and shrimp cocktail...and don’t forget that 2007’s The Simpsons Movie will be broadcast on television for the first time later night (on FOX). Oh, and as for today's football schedule: The New England Patriots will play against the Detroit Lions, the New Orleans Saints will compete against the Dallas Cowboys, and the Cincinnati Bengals will take on the New York Jets. That is all.

Sara Rue.

RANDOM BABE BLOG #15... Today’s entry goes to actress Sara Rue, who’s been in such hit TV shows as The Big Bang Theory, and summer movies like Pearl Harbor and 1998’s Can’t Hardly Wait. If you watch television as much as I do, then you’ll know that she is also the current spokeswoman for the Jenny Craig weight loss company.

Sara Rue.

Doing research online, I notice that there’s an equal amount of photos of Ms. Rue as a beefy redhead as there are pics of her as a slender, curvaceous redhead/blonde. Maybe that’s why Jenny Craig hired her for the new commercials: Ms. Rue ‘presumably’ makes it look easy to lose weight (despite the fact it actually took her around 40 weeks to do so)...and thus makes the Jenny Craig workout routine look like it completely works. But that’s just my opinion. Either way— I salute you Sara...for looking as sexy a redhead as Scarlett Johansson did in Iron Man 2, and Rachel Nichols did in last year’s movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Oh, and let's not forget the lovely (and now deported) Russian spy Anna Chapman. That is all.

Minka Kelly.

SEXIEST WOMAN ALIVE... Back in 2008, I posted a journal entry devoted to Friday Night Light’s lovely Minka Kelly, and even posted another Blog the following month about how she should have a role in 2012’s Batman 3 (which is scheduled to begin filming next April). Esquire.com has declared that Ms. Kelly (I don’t want to fathom if/when she becomes Mrs. Jeter... Ugh) is the Sexiest Woman Alive for 2010. I definitely don’t disagree with that. Get back to me when the day comes that she’s declared the Sexiest Single Woman alive (err, just because)... At least John Mayer has been long out of the picture. That dude annoys me.

SpoCom 2010... Click on the link below to view photos I took with (or of) 31 gorgeous models at the Long Beach Convention Center last weekend. Actually, there are only 30 models featured on that page. The pic I took with 'Model 31' (lovely Corissa, above) is in my main Gallery 2 section. Later.
