Despite my utter disdain for China
(hey, I AM Filipino), just thought I'd share this cool image of the
Yutu rover that was taken by the
Chang'e 3 lander after the joint spacecraft touched down on the Moon's surface yesterday. Had Beijing allowed the public
(Chinese and otherwise) to submit names to be flown aboard the probes
a la Japan with the
Kaguya mission
in 2007 and NASA with the
Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter in 2009, I probably wouldn't feel as much contempt for China as I do now. But that's not the case...so
up yours, Beijing. But congrats on this latest accomplishment!
