NASA / JPL - CaltechCURIOSITY GETS AN ARM... Almost two months since it received
its 6 wheels and about one month after it received
its camera system, the
Mars Science Laboratory rover finally had its robotic arm installed onto it at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California last week.
Click here to view a video showing the new limb being attached to NASA’s next Red Planet ground vehicle. The last major component to be installed onto
Curiosity is
its nuclear-powered generator (a.k.a. Multi-Mission Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator)...but that won’t take place till days before its launch in November of next year. That is all.
