Well, I'm bored. Just to kill time, I'll give you some quick facts about my website. Right now, there are 446 files in my directory that are consuming 12,371,768 bytes of storage. That's 12.4 megabytes for all of you non-Internet savvy Web users. Most of those 414 files are pictures, while there are I think 30 pages that currently make up my homepage. If Crosswinds wasn't so dope in having unlimited storage, I wouldn't have at least 200 files uploaded to my webpage account. Thanks, Crosswinds!

All right, that's enough for wasting precious space on my Blogger account. More to come later...

CORRECTION There are 45 pages on my website. YEA, I sure got it close the first time...

NBA Finals, here they come! The Lakers swept the San Antonio Spurs, 111-82, in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Now they have a 19-game winning streak, with 11 of the victories coming in the postseason. Just 4 victories more, and they run the table to their second NBA championship. WOOHOO!

Now the Lakers have a week to rest before they begin practicing for their 4-game demolition of the Milwaukee Bucks or the Philadelphia 76ers, or both...considering how much help is needed to beat Los Angeles.

The Spring 2001 semester is finally over! I only had one final yesterday (my Philosophy class)...even though it was at 8 in the morning. Ugh. Actually, it wasn't really a final...I had a take-home assignment in which I had to write two essays about what I learned over the course of the semester in this class. Once again, I B.S.ed...but at least I'm finally done!! Unfortunately, I thought we just had to go to the classroom to turn our essays in. Turns out we had to be in class from 8 to 10 A.M. Two hours of more philosophical nonsense. Ugh once again!!

After I left school, I went to the AMC theater near my house to watch the WWII epic Pearl Harbor. So what did I think of it? Much like the 1997 film its formula is based on--Titanic--Pearl Harbor didn't really get that exciting until the historical events began to kick in. Not only that, but the love story kinda hurt the film because it felt contrived. Director Michael Bay said the WWII flick was mold in the same fashion as James Cameron's Oscar-winning film: a love story based against a historical backdrop. As I said before, this was not a good thing because the audience (at least those who go on movie websites and read movie magazines) knows that Bay is trying to create a romance epic. Some things about the love story seemed artificial, as a result (even though it obviously was, but you know what I mean)...

Pearl Harbor should've been more like a 'brotherhood' flick (like Stand By Me or maybe Saving Private Ryan)...since Ben Affleck and Josh Harnett's characters seemed like actual genuine friends as opposed to the forced romantic relationship with Kate Beckinsale's character. A'ight, I'm done ranting about the film. Other than the remarks made above, Pearl Harbor was pretty good.

Later in the evening (also yesterday), I went to one of my friends' house to watch the Lakers rout the San Antonio Spurs, 111-72, in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. Just one more win at STAPLES Center on Sunday, and this series is HISTORY. NBA FINALS, here we come!! Or at least, here the Lakers come... Haha.

Me and my friends went to a billiards place to shoot some pool after the game. I won most of the games (mostly on my friends' mistakes, but also cuz I'm dope like that)

Well, I completed my Classics Literature final about half an hour ago...and needless to say: Eh. The last time I checked my grade, I was getting an A in the class before today's exam--so I'm not exactly worried about getting a "C" in that class. Of course I probably jinxed it...since I had to write a couple of essays, and I essentially B.S.ed on most of them.

Anyways, one final down and two more to go. I have a Biology final (the one that I thought was on Monday, haha) at 5 PM and the Small Groups Discussion final at 7:15 at night. After that, I get to go home.

UPDATE: I'm finally done with the last two finals for today. Of course, I guessed on some of the answers for the Biology exam...but the Small Groups Discussion final seemed to go OK. My S.G.D. teacher gave my group an "A" for our May 16 presentation despite some of us (Yours Truly included) giving half-assed performances. OH WELL...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARINA!!!

Unless Wednesday and Friday kill the good feeling, today was a good day!

I ran into Denise on campus today, and the encounter was WAYYY better than the one on March 26 (yep, I remember that meeting, heheh). We had a longer conversation, and I studied with her outside the main library for a couple of hours. Interestingly, I wouldn't have run into her hadn't I realized the Biology final that I thought I had today was actually on Wednesday. D'OH!! I may have wasted gas, but it was sure worth it if it meant getting over that disappointing encounter I had with her two months ago. Unless I run into her again by the end of this week and the moment's ruined, WHAT A COOL WAY to end the school year, huh? Now the MILLION DOLLAR question is 'Am I going to start e-mailing her again?'

Do you wanna know another reason why today is a great day? Lakers defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 88-81, in the NBA Western Conference Finals. Los Angeles is now 2-0 in the series, baby!! By next week, Shaq, Kobe and Gang are goin' back to the NBA FINALS!!! Go for the SWEEP, dawgs!!!

MAN, today was a great day. Now it's time to study for my finals. Hahahahaha...

This past weekend, I went to the theater twice to see the new film, The Mummy Returns. Considering the fact I saw it two times (both occasions with my friends), you can tell I thought the movie was pretty good. That warrior-guy with the tattoo on his face (the one who helped Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz find their son) was pretty cool...and those little pygmy-dudes with the blowguns were hilarious (and sometimes scary, haha). Rachel Weisz isn't so bad looking either.

However, ILM could've done a better job on the CGI version of the Scorpion Rock--er, King.

Anyways, the next film that I want to see is Pearl Harbor. It comes out May 25, the last day of school for me.
